1. Introduction

EtqanShop (“we”, “us”, “our”) operates the website etqanshop.iq and the EtqanShop mobile applications (the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use the Service.

By using the Service, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. We will not use or share your information with anyone except as described in this Privacy Policy.

This policy is effective from 21 May 2026 and applies to all visitors, customers, and registered account holders of EtqanShop.

2. Information we collect

We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our Service to you.

Personal data you provide directly: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, payment information processed by our PCI-compliant gateway, and any other data you submit through forms on our Service.

Usage data collected automatically: device type, browser type and version, pages of our Service you visit, time and date of your visit, and other diagnostic data that helps us understand how the Service is used.

3. How we use your information

EtqanShop uses the collected data to provide and maintain the Service, notify you about changes to it, allow you to participate in interactive features when you choose to, and provide customer support.

We also use your information to process and fulfil your orders, gather analysis to improve the Service, monitor usage to detect and address technical issues, and — only with your consent — send you news, special offers and general information about goods and services that we believe will be of interest.

4. Cookies and tracking

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to track activity on our Service and hold certain information. Cookies are files with a small amount of data that may include an anonymous unique identifier.

You can instruct your browser to refuse all cookies or to indicate when a cookie is being sent. However, if you do not accept cookies, you may not be able to use some portions of our Service — for example, keeping items in your cart between sessions or staying signed in to your account.

5. Sharing with third parties

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your personally identifiable information to outside parties except as needed to provide the Service. This includes payment processors, shipping providers, and IT service providers, all of whom have agreed to keep this information confidential.

We may release your information when we believe release is appropriate to comply with the law, enforce our site policies, or protect our or others’ rights, property, or safety.

6. Data security

The security of your data is important to us. We use industry-standard encryption (TLS 1.3) for all data in transit, and store sensitive information using bank-grade encryption at rest. Payment card information is never stored on our servers — it is tokenised by our PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment processor.

While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your personal data, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, correct any inaccuracies, request deletion of your data subject to legal retention requirements, object to certain uses of your data, and export your data in a machine-readable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days as required by applicable Iraqi data protection law.

8. Children’s privacy

Our Service is not directed at anyone under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under 13.

If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we take steps to remove that information from our servers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the “Last updated” date at the top.

You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes. Changes to this Privacy Policy are effective when they are posted on this page.
